Before you start any installation, make sure that your window is in a good condition. You should make repairs on any damaged window. Choose a window that faces away from the afternoon sun (close to a shade) and install the window AC unit near a source of power to refrain from using extension cables.

1) Select an area with little or no obstructions for the mounting of the indoor unit. The indoor unit should be far away from heat sources and direct sunlight with 15cm of open spaces all round the unit. The unit should also be 2.13m above the ground and the wall should be strong enough to hold the unit.
2) Secure your mounting plate on the wall using a level to ensure that the bracket forms vertical and horizontal squares. Drill holes on the walls and secure the plate using tapping screws.
3) Make a hole on the wall that can accommodate the pipe fitting. Insert a flange in the wall which is about 7.5 cm in diameter.
4) Ensure that the electrical connections in the front panel cover match the wiring diagram.
5) Run your piping from the indoor AC unit towards the hole on the wall. Minimize a lot of bending on the pipe. Bind all the copper pipes together and secure them on the indoor unit using wrenches and join your drainage pipe to the indoor unit.
